Greetings:  Parents, grandparents, guardians,

Well here it is January and snow is supposed to be coming our way.  Maybe it will, so our children can see real snow.  I trust you had a great Christmas.

Now it is back to work.  We will be picking up speed on reading in the next few weeks.  DIBELS assessment will be given on Jan.11-Jan.25.  Please encourage your child to do their best on each reading.  A way you can help is to listen to them read at night and time them for 1 minute to see how many words they read in 1 minute.  Then ask them to retell you the story for 1 minute.  That will help greatly.
