Week of May 3rd-7th:
Dear Fifth Grade Families: Wow! What a successful turn-out we had for the 1st Annual Galactic Gala! The kids (and parents) appeared to have a great time dancing the night away in our school cafeteria. Overall, the 5th grade team made approximately $600 to help cover the cost of our EPCOT trip. Thanks for helping make this a memorable night! I would also like to thank all of the students for turning in their Science Projects! All 20 of my students were represented in the MBES Science Fair. I know a lot of time and effort went in to making these projects, and I am VERY proud of every of each and every one of you! Safety Harbor Middle School: On Monday, May 10th our 5th Grade Classes will be visiting Safety Harbor Middle School where they will be briefly introduced to "Middle School Life". We will begin the trip in the cafeteria and then break off into groups that will tour the school. I know we are looking forward to this exciting trip! Thanks to all of you for returning your permission slips and $2.00 bus fee.
EPCOT: Our trip is only a few weeks away! Thank you to all of you for returning your permission slips. We are working on the details and will send home a note that will give you our schedule, items to bring, what to wear, etc. We are looking forward to a memorable trip! There will be a final Chaperone Meeting on Tuesday, May 11th @ 6:00 p.m. in the Media Center. End of the Year Party: With only 25 days left of school, we are beginning to plan our End of the Year Class Party on Friday, June 4th beginning at 12:15 p.m. Please be on the lookout for more information regarding this event. Homework: From now until the end of the year I will no longer be posting nightly homework assignments on our website. This is to serve as a transition into Middle School. I will give your child the opportunity to write their homework in their planners throughout the day. Please encourage your child to be responsible for their assignments. Also, I am asking that your child complete all homework and classroom assignments in cursive (if they are capable) from here on out. Thanks for your support! Middle School Week is Coming! In preparationfor next year, the fifth grade team has set up a “Middle School Week” in whichwe will conduct our classroom much like the sixth grade classrooms students willencounter next year. During the week of May 17th-21st, students will have the opportunity to changeclasses, keep supplies in a “locker”, and experience a sixth grade workload. FYI: Looking forward to another great week, Mrs. Frazier
