Quote for the Week

Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.  St. Francis of Assisi

Important Information

The Doodle4Google event for 2012 has begun.  Our SJNRCS artists have been very successful in the contest, in fact; we have had two State of Georgia winners in the four years we have participated.

This year the winner will be awarded a $30,000 college scholarship, a trip to New York for an event on May 17, 2012, a Google Chromebook computer, a Wacom digital design tablet, and a t-shirt printed with his or her doodle on it.  The winning logo will also be featured on the Crayola 64 box and the Google site.  The winner's school will receive a $50,000 technology grant towards the improvement of the technology program.

For more information please visit Mrs. Mintz's Information Page.

Tuesday, February 7th

Social Studies: Complete the Guided Reading Review Worksheet.  Please remember to include page numbers.

Science:  If you did not complete the classwork, you need to finish it for homework.

Start to study for the science test next Tuesday.  As we discussed in class, there are seven major topics that will be covered on the test.  Those topics are:  plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, weathering, soil, erosion, and deposition.  If you break this down into small chunks and review one topic each night, it will make studying for the test much easier.

Religion:  Study for the test on Thursday.  Remember to use faithfirst to help you.

Monday, February 6th

Please remember to bring in fruit for St. Luke's soup kitchen tomorrow!

Social Studies:  Study for the test tomorrow.  You will have to label the thirteen provinces and territories of Canada.  Remember, spelling counts.

We will be taking the Chapter 13 test on Thursday.  Please use faithfirst to help you study.  As always, if you go to faithfirst.com, take a practice test, score 90% or higher, and notify me of the results, you can get three bonus points on the test.  My email address is lyestrumsky@sjnrcs.org
