Reading  - Our story of the week is "Little Red Hen". The vocabulary words are: help, who, asked, some, flour, these, into, plant, found. Today we read and discussed the story together. We also completed a story map to help with comprehension. *Test on the vocabulary and this story is scheduled for Friday 2/10. 

English - Today we worked on a fun activity. We made a bread book using information we gathered from the story - they turned out really cute!

Phonics - Today we worked in class on reviewing words with short /e/.

Spelling - Today they learned the new words for the week: up, down, at, on, in, or, of, out, to, two, too. They need to also know the meanings of the words. We practiced spelling and using the words in sentences. *Test on these words is scheduled for Thursday 2/9.

Handwriting - Today we worked in class on reviewing letters "V, W, Y".

Math - Today we reviewed for Chapter 7. *Test on Chapter 7 is scheduled for Thursday 2/9.

Science - No class today.

Social Studies - No class today.

Religion - Today we reviewed the people in the church.

Art - No class today.
