Hello students,

Most of you already know me from last year. For those of you who do not, I taught 5th grade Science last year. It is an honor and a privilage to be able to teach you again this year. I look forward to the many stories and adventures we will be reading in class.

For the first 2-3 weeks of school, we are (will be) reading the novel "Hatchet" in class. There will be no homework for these two weeks. Also, when we are reading novels and trade books in class, there will not be quite as many grades taken during that specific time.

There will be an open book test on "Hatchet" Friday. This test is comprehensive and will not have a study guide.
