It continues to be a rewarding experience having the chance to work with you and your child during the 2008-2009 school year! I hope that you have felt welcome and encouraged to support the education of your 6th or 7th grade student at Knox, with faith in a mutual goal of promoting an environment in which your child has all of the necessary tools to ensure their lasting success. It is my belief that when a student is the focus of a team effort between home, school, and the community as a foundation, and where each member of the team understands the importance of their role in developing the young person as a whole, success is certain to be the happy result!!

When students consider effective strategies they can learn at school, and will apply them as a way to demonstrate their readiness and willingness to put forth their best efforts, they can take pride in what they will have accomplished in middle school. Please encourage your child to read or be read to for at least twenty minutes each day to srengthen the development of this critically important skill- read, read, read!!!

I have genuinely enjoyed getting to know the delightful young people that are entrusted to our care at Knox. It is a true joy to know, teach, and learn from a student that is enthusiastic, caring, and eager for discovery. Thank you for sharing your child with us and for all that you are doing to model and support these excellent qualities! The expectations that we have for a spectacular year are reached in focusing on mutual success and in building a great team. These efforts are paying off in many ways!
