Happy Spring!


It's hard to believe that Spring is here.  Now we just need it to feel like Spring.  I look forward to conferences to discuss your child's progress.  I want to take this opportunity to thank all the parents for your help and for all that you do to help support our classroom activities!  It is greatly appreciated.  Please continue to check your child's take-home folder daily for upcoming events, reminders, and communication.

Wednesday Folder/Envelope:
Each Wednesday, every student will bring home a bright yellow envelope. This envelope will contain important notices/papers from the school that need to be read by a parent or guardian. Please review the envelope’s contents, sign at the appropriate date, and send the empty envelope back to school with your child on Thursday.

Parent Pickup:
If your child is going to be picked up from school, please send a written note in with your child stating the details.  If we do not receive a note, your child we go home on the bus.

Snack:
The school will provide an afternoon snack for your child for a quarterly fee.  (The snack is a healthy treat with juice/milk.) If you prefer to send in a snack for your child, please complete the snack reply form.  This form was included in your yellow Wednesday folder at Kindergarten Orientation.


Take Home Folders:
Daily I will send home a two-pocket orange folder.  This folder will contain your child’s work or notes.  This folder will have each side labeled and will show you which papers needs to be returned to school and which papers may be kept at home.  This folder may also be used as a way for you to correspond with me.  I will collect these folders every morning.  Also, please return the folder to school everyday.

Lunch Money:
Please send in lunch money for your child every Monday or you may write a check for a month etc.  Please put the lunch money in an envelope and place it in the Orange Take Home Folder.  Lunch will cost $2.20 a day.

Birthday Celebrations:
Your child may bring in a book to share with the classroom or may have a guest read the book to the class.  The book will be returned unless you would like to donate it to our classroom library.
