 http://go.hrw.com/gopages/wl.html is the site that matches our French textbook. Select "world languages", "French", "Allez Viens! level 1". Then they click on the corresponding chapter.

 Beginning French ( 4th pd)

Towards the end of September, students will be issued a textbook that they will need to bring to class every day. They will also take the book home to complement the study of their classnotes.

Parents, please ask your child to show you how each chapter is divided (following a certain color code). Note that at the end of each chapter, there is a glossary that follows the same color code.

Intermediate French (7th pd)

Current unit : Chapter 6, Troixième étape.

Vocabulary : finalizing plans.

Grammar : question words.

Test on chapter 6 (entire chapter), on Thursd. May 25. Click on the textbook link above to practice !!! 

Advanced French (1st pd)

This year we are going to focus on writing and speaking. Students will write weekly journal entries. Our goal is to incorporate the little bits and pieces of vocab and grammar that we learn into more elaborate written production.

Some help is available on the Wake county school site. On the Daniels home page, click on the Wake County icon and select "Parents" or click on this link : http://www.wcpss.net/parents_students.html

Then scroll down and click on "Help for Students" . Select "Instruction Videos (Success Series)". Under "Second Languages", select Spanish 1 and choose a video from the menu.

Then choose a chapter and a topic, for instance Animated Verbs. Do the Test Preparation at the end of each chapter.

Beginning Spanish (3rd pd)

Vocabulary : describing people's personality.

Grammar : personal pronouns

      Intermediate Spanish

Current unit :  Chapter 4B, playing sports and making plans with friends.
