Last week we had to spend extra time on government vocabulary so we did not get to all of the activities planned. But students have a much better understanding of the words and meanings and that's the important thing. For the next two weeks, we will be exploring the realm of economics--internationally and in the region of Southwest Asia. Some students however did not make a 70 or higher and will be required to come to MANDATORY academic study hall Tuesday, October 25 from 4:05-5:30. In the past, I've held study hall over the span of a couple of days with a shorter time frame. But I believe it would be more beneficial to the students and more convenient for parents to have study hall on one day for a longer period of time. We will review and retest. Students and Parents, Due to school related activities that conflict with class time, the schedule for this week has changed. This week we will be focusing on reviewing, reiteration, and reteaching the geographic concepts of Southwest Asia. Students will be tested on 4 standards. We have spent adequate time in class covering the standards. Students are expected to spend a good amount of time studying and reviewing for the test themselves. I am available anytime after school if students need further assistance with the information and/or study help.
