October News:

AR News:  We will begin testing again on October 21st. Your child will be given a new goal to reach.

Math News: We are finishing Topic 6. Our test will be Wednesday. Please practice multiplication flash cards daily.

At Open House, I gave out login information for our Math Program. I encourage you to use that valuable teaching resource. I assign the students extra practice work that you can do online or print for your child. They are able to watch the online presentation of each lesson we have gone over. Before every test, I put the study guide on for you to use to go over with your child.

Language: We are beginning a Unit on Verbs.

Graded Papers: I send the papers home as soon as I grade them, and get them in the gradebook. If you have not already signed up for activeparent, I would suggest that you do. You can keep up with your child's grades, absentees, and discipline matters. Come by the school to sign up.

Grades: If you view your students grades on activeparent and you see an "x" in place of a grade that means it will be made up. If it is a test, that means that either they were absent or they have to retest. If it is classwork or homework, either they were absent or did not turn it in.

Retesting: If any student makes below a D on any assessment, the skills will be retaught and retested within a couple of days. Once retested, I will take an average of the two grades for the gradebook.

Homework: All HOMEWORK IS GRADED!
