Meet the TEACHER

Jacqueline DeFatta

Hello!  I am your child's first grade teacher!  My husband is also pictured above with me.  His name is Jason DeFatta.  We are working on our fourth year of marriage and feel blessed to have found each other!  God is great!  Though we do not have children yet, we have two wonderful cats (pictured above) that keep us company.  On the left is Malachi and on the right is Macy.  We look forward to parenthood, but until then, I have the opportunity to steer and direct your wonderful children for a living!

To tell you a little bit more about my educational background, I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi back in 2007 and am excited about my second year at Baxterville School.  I am looking forward to working as a team with the rest of the Baxterville staff to meet the learning needs of your child.  Because I have had the privilege of working in Lamar County for the last year and a half, I have a deeper understanding of our district's sense of community and feel confident that the upcoming year is going to be amazing! 

Meet the ASSISTANT TEACHER

Hi!  I am your child's assistant teacher, working with Mrs. DeFatta.  This is my 23rd year working at Baxterville School and I wouldn't rather be anywhere else.  I love working with children and look forward to a great year with your child!
