Mrs. Thomas Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. FCA Awards Day: Thursday, May 20th at Berea Baptist Church; Begins at 8:00 a.m.; Dismiss by 10:00 a.m. for summer; NO extended care available YEAH!! This is it...our final week! I know we are ALL ready for a much-needed break. We will spend Monday through Wednesday finalizing every thing. Thank you all so much for being so supportive this year. It has been one of my best teaching years. Your children are precious to me, and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of their learning experience. I have included a list of 3rd grade expectations for next year. This will help you know what to expect. Please read through that information. There is a considerable difference in the the work load. With summer break, we are all extremely busy and thoughts of school get put on the 'back-burner'. However, if I may, I encourage you to review (maybe once or twice a week) math facts. Also, have your child read throughout the summer. Athens Public Library offers a nice Reading Program, or just reading good books at home will keep your child's skills sharp so he/she will be ready when school starts in the the fall. One of our Chapel speakers challenged the students last week. He suggested that the students read the book of Psalms over the summer. I think this is an AWESOME idea! I pray you all have a safe and restful summer. Please let me know if you have any further questions about how your child can prepare for next year.
