Welcome to the McKenzie Elementary School Library!!

Your child will visit the library one day a week for a 50 minute class period.
Students in grades 1-4 will begin checking out books the first week of school.
Kindergarten students will begin checking out books at the end of the first six weeks. We will spend the first 6 weeks discussing book care, responsibility, and library manners.

Please find a special place in your home for your child's library book. Have your child place the book there each day so that you will know where it is.
It is a good idea to place it in your child's backpack each day after reading it. That way they always have it at school.
If a book is not returned, your child will not be able to check out a book the next week.
If a book is damaged, please return it to the library immediately. Please do not try to repair the book yourself. If the book is damaged beyond repair, the book must be paid for in order for your child to check out another book or to receive a report card.

The list is in alphabetical order. It lists the grade level and the points possible.


Birthday Idea - Why not honor your child by donating money to purchase a book in honor of your child to be placed in our library? A bookplate will be placed in the front of the book with your child's name. Give the gift of reading!!
