Smith's 2009-2010    -:- Dates to Remember -:- Tuesday, November 10: 1st Report Card Issued Wednesday, November 11: Veteran's Day Holiday Tuesday, November 24: Early Release Day (students leave at 12:30pm) Wednesday, November 25: No school for students Thursday & Friday, November 26-27: Thanksgiving Break Friday, November 27: Holiday Night Out in downtown Salisbury AND the unveiling of a newly-released image of the center of Milky Way @ Just the Thing (103 N Main Street) from 5:00-9:00pm  -:- Daily Expectations -:-   READ EVERY DAY!Study spelling, vocabulary, and math facts Get agenda and reading log signed each night -:- Our Weekly Schedule -:- Lunch is everyday from 10:50-11:20 Monday: No Special Class Tuesday: No Special Class Wednesday: P.E. (1:00-1:30) Thursday: Music (1:00-1:30) Friday: Art (1:00-1:30) -:- FYI -:- I give spelling tests on Thursday mornings to the entire class. Those students who make a 100 or better (with or without extra credit) do not have to take a spelling test on Friday. Students who make less than a 100 will retake their spelling test on Friday and I will keep the better of the two grades. Vocabulary tests will always be given on Fridays.   -:-Vocabulary Words -:- Nov. 2-6 1. bank - the land around a body of water 2. crater - a hollow area in the ground, shaped like a bowl 3. edge - the line or place where something ends 4. moss - small green plants that grow close together on the ground, rocks, and trees 5. path - a track or way made by footsteps 6. shallow - not deep You can practice your vocabulary words at home by clicking on the site below.
