Dear Class,

    Welcome to first grade. Today we were off to a great start. I was very proud of how the students listened and followed directions.

   I appreciate the great turn out we had at open house.  Thank you for coming and showing your support. In your packet there was a request for Mystery Readers. I would appreciate it if you have the time to dedicate on a Friday this school year to be a Mystery Reader for our students.

  Pet Pictures

 If you have a photo or can draw a picture of a pet you have, or one that you would like to have, please send it in to add to our pet board. Connections from home help us feel like a family.

   Each student will need 3 one subject notebooks for class. We will be using these each day. I appreciate the class donations of cleaning supplies and tissues etc.

Volunteers!

If there is a day or a time that you are able to volunteer please let me know. I always have something that can be done to help make a difference in student learning. Volunteers will need to pick up a background check form from the office, and complete it, then return it. Chaperones for field trips will need to complete one as well. 

 Please remember to send in a snack daily for your student.  Unlike kindergarten, we do not keep extra snack in the classroom if your child forgets.
