Study Island is in operation again this year.  The students are able to use it at home as well as in school.  Their user names & passwords are the same as last year.  If they don't remember either please let me know & I will give them that information.  They may practice both Reading & Math skills in this program.

Reading: We read the story "Mom's Best Friend" & noted details on the pages in the workbook.  They began a vocabulary workbook page.  The vocabulary quiz for "Mom's Best Friend" will be on Thursday. 

The Accelerated Reading program is continuing for this year & the students are required to complete 15 points for the third grading period. The child will earn 1 extra bonus point added to their grade for every 5 points over 10.  The website that is to be used to see if the book has a quiz & the number of points is www.renlearn.com (the same as last year). Please check to make sure that your child is working on these points as it will be part of their Reading grade.   Please check that all AR points are finished.  

Science:   We completed pages 430&431 on complex machines then worked on a worksheet that is due on Monday.  The chapter 13 test will be on Tuesday.

Religion:   Room 113 completed World Religions & began the February 12th Venture magazine.  Room 113 has a crossword puzzle due on Tuesday.  Room 112 viewed the DVD on World Religions & have a crossword puzzle due on Monday.

There is 1 report card envelope that has not been returned as of today.

 Gift Cards for the  "Retail Therapy" gift basket for the Gala are due ASAP.
