Reading - COMPREHENSION TEST (on Volcanoes) Hand in white Vocabulary Pamphlet. IT'S THE WEEKEND! RELAAAX!!! _______________________________________________________________ In Mr. McConnell's Class: 1) Groups Students work in groups. Groups are named after the day of the week and changes every two weeks. Keep a positive attitude, model student behavior, pay attention, and stay on task you could have the opportunity to earn your group a marble! The group with more marbles wins!! 2) Spelling HW: Monday - Worksheet or RAINBOW Writing (Rainbow Writing: Students write once in pencil and then over again three other times in different colors.) Tuesday - ABC order Wednesday - 3x each Thursday - Spelling Story (use only 10 words. Highlight or underline the words) Friday - SPELLING TEST **All homework due Friday. 3) Vocabulary HW: Students have vocabulary words for each story we read. A weekly "vocabulary pamphlet" is assigned. Each week their pamphlets change color. Students are responsible for writing the WORD, DEFINITION, and drawing a PICTURE on their pamphlet. Assigned at the beginning of the week and due Friday. 4) Parents please sign ALL quizzes, tests, or projects graded and students will return in Thursday Folder. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At Hanford Dole, students are also rewarded tickets. Weekly drawings over HD TV get the students pumped about winning! The more tickets a student has increases their probability of winning a prize. Remember the 3 R's: Show RESPECT, be RESPONSIBLE, do the RIGHT thing will get you that prize!! |
