Mrs. Honeycutt and I are so happy to have your child in our class.  We are looking forward to a great year!  Kindergarten is a very important year for your child.  Your child will learn so much and it is very important that you know what your child is doing in their class so that you can reinforce it at home. Here are a few things to remember with our class- be sure that you check our monthly calendar and agenda each day to reinforce what your child is doing in class and please reinforce the classroom rules at home.

Specialist schedule:
Monday - Computers

Tuesday - P.E.

Wednesday - Art

Thursday - Music

Friday - Library

Agendas: Please check and sign your child's agenda each day. Be sure to check the agenda pocket as well, for any special notes or homework that may come home. Check your child's color dot each day. Praise your child for their green dot and good day! Your child can also earn a blue dot for an excellent day! A yellow dot means your child received a warning about following the rules, please talk to them about their behavior. If your child gets a red or purple dot, you may receive a phone call or a note home that their behavior must improve.

Thursday Folders:
Folders will come home each Thursday with your child's work from the previous week. Please go over it with your child and you may keep it. We will also send notes from the classroom, office and PTA to keep you notified of things at school. Please read these and send back only the things that need your reply.
