Mrs. Ziegler's Summary Sheet November 16 - 20, 2009 “And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us.” ~1 John 5:14 Dear Parents, I would like to thank everyone who helped transport and chaperone for the field trip. We had a great time! I also appreciate the book donations made to our classroom from the book fair. The students and I will enjoy reading and sharing the books with one another. In science we will be doing a number of experiments and projects that requires some extra materials. If you have any of these items and would like to send them this week we will certainly appreciate your help: poster board, a small package of a generic or inexpensive brand of cereal rings similar to Cheerios or Fruit Loops, salt, 2-liter diet soda, Mentos, small container of dry sand (approx. 1 – 2 cups), small bag of all-purpose flour, food coloring, liquid starch, balloons, aluminum foil, old newspaper, white craft glue, small bottle of white vinegar. Wow, I cannot believe how quickly this semester is flying by! In a few weeks we will be out for Christmas. Please continue to encourage your child to stay focused as the holidays approach. Children have a tendency to lose their focus this time of the year. Also drill those math facts as often as possible. One last note, please be sure to take time to read the information in the Friday folder concerning our second semester field trip. It is imperative we get a headcount so that we can order the tickets ASAP. Please send in the signed permission slip and money for your admission if you plan to attend with your child.
