Week of November 17-21, 2008 This week the children will begin discussing Pilgrims and Indians. We will talk about Thanksgiving and why it is celebrated. We will be making edible turkeys as a final celebration. In math, the students will learn to write the date using digits, create and read a bar graph, order two-digit numbers, learn the sums of 13 and 14, and reading a recipe and measuring ingredients to make a baked good. The students really enjoy this math lesson!! The children will be learning about possessive nouns and doing some creative writing about scarecrows.
