As-Salaam Alaikum Students and Parents,

Welcome to the New School Year 2008-09!!! Hope you had a wonderful summer break and are ready for a new year of fun and learning.

Parents make sure that your child is all ready for school with books and supplies on the first day of school. Please make sure everything is labeled with your child's name and class designation 2A. School starts on August 25th, 2008. Do not forget hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. in line with our Ramadan schedule for the month of September.

2 2-Pocket folders with a blank label in front

6 # 2 Pencils, Erasers and 1 Sharpener

1 composition notebook

1 Green Color Ball Point Pen

1 Yellow Highlighter

1 Set of Index Cards

1 Clip Board

2 Expo Dry Erase Markers -Any Color

1 Expo Dry Eraser

1 Box of Crayons

1 Box of Color Pencils

2 Glue Sticks

1 Pair of Scissors

All Text Books Labeled Clearly

1 FlexiView Binder with 10 Sheet Protectors

HOMEWORK

Homework will be given on a daily basis and will be due back the following day.

Points will be deducted from the homework grade each time homework is turned in late. Please check your child's folder everyday as important announcements and forms to be signed will also be sent in the homework folder.



Textbooks are sent home the day before a test. Students may take their books anytime, but should remember to return them the following school day.



Students can visit Houghton Mifflin's website for activities related to our story selection and Tackle Reading for bookmarks & reading activities In your free time, be sure to go to the Mountain View Library website and check out Tumble Books
