NEWS:
-Students will be off Monday, October 27, Tuesday, November 4, and Tuesday, November 11.  Thanksgiving and Christmas aren't too far behind!

-2nd Quarter begins Tuesday, October  28th.

-Report cards will go out on Wednesday, November 5th from 3:30p-6:00p. 

-The next dance will be Friday, October 24th. Be good, be there!


Math:

We are currently working on a short unit...integers! We will then begin Chapter 3-DECIMALS!  This includes ordering, comparing, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and more!  Notes are an important part of your learning as well as homework...do both!!!

I can't stress enough to practice multiplication facts!!!!


Reading:

We are just about finished with "Because of Winn Dixie" and "Touching Spirit Bear."  Areas to be covered include story elements (plot, theme, characters, setting, etc.), time of events, short stories, a novel, and writing skills.

REMINDERS:
-You need to keep track of your homework pads throughout the year. Homework pads are to be with you at ALL times. They should be with you in each class, if you're in the restroom, and at home to check for your homework assignments. Parents should be checking these as well to keep track of your homework!
