We have finished for the most part our survey of the northern region of Europe.

We will continue the survey with the western region and hope to be finished with Europe near or just slightly after the end of third quarter. We will then move on to South America.

Students were warned all of second quarter to study their European maps (Countries and Capitals) for the quiz we took Tuesday, 19 January!! I gave them FOUR practice quizzes in the week leading up to the real one. I have put links and flashcards at the bottom of this page. To those who said they didn't have access to the internet, I gave cards with which they could MAKE flashcards. Unfortunately, some students did NOT take advantage of all the helps I provided. They did NOT do their best and have received poor grades on the quiz. Please be advised there will be two similar quizzes during 3rd quarter (one the same as this and one with physical features)

In an effort to improve reading scores, we are stressing vocabulary this year. Unfortunately, the students have not been studying vocabulary as they should have been. It is OBVIOUS that students are NOT studying.
The quizzes have come DIRECTLY from the vocabulary definitions they were given in class. Please note that I have loaded a FLASHCARD set of the vocabulary words at the bottom of this page. I am updating this deck as I add new words to the students' notebooks. It would be an EASY way to study for the quizzes! (HINT HINT)
