The Monkey teachers are looking forward to a GREAT year with our students. We know that the Otter students are well behaved, responsible, and eager to learn.

Erwin Middle School-wide Rules

  • No gum or candy.
  • No screw-top bottles.
  • Bookbags must be stored in lockers.
  • Do not throw anything in the classroom.

Monkey Team Rules

  • Respect yourself and the rights of others.
  • Raise your hand and wait to be called upon.
  • Be on time with the appropriate materials.
  • Speak when recognized.
  • No learning distracters--scented body products, toys, electronic devices.
  • Follow all school rules.

Consequences

  • 1st Offense- Verbal Warning.
  • 2nd Offense- Removal from class setting.
  • 3rd Offense- Parent phone call.
  • 4th Offense- Office Referral

 ***Severe Disruption=Immediate Office Referral!!!

Rewards

  • Phone call/note home.
  • Good conduct grade.
  • Special team rewards and events.

This year Mrs. Waller and I will be working very hard to make sure your child has a successful school year as well as preparing them for the remainder of their middle school experience. We are looking forward to a wonderful 2009/2010 school year.
