Happy 2010 to all Toucans!  I hope the coming year brings the desires of your heart and a peace that transcends understanding!  

Class Information:

Language Arts: 

Are you ready?  Have you rested?  Second quarter is swiftly coming to a close as we wrap up Touching Spirit Bear.  We will complete our Novel Packet, have a little "show all you know Celebration; and have a guest speaker who will help us with learning how to filter water and some basic "survival skills".  

We will hit Wordskills hard and return to our "big, fat, yellow book" for short stories from a variety of genre.  Look for a little more homework as we begin practicing to be 7th graders.  HOWEVER...the homework should continue to be manageable.  If you find that it is taking hours and hours...let me know.  Homework should reinforce what we are doing in class and give parents a chance to see student progress.  Please contact me if you ever have questions or feedback!

What is my New Year's Resolution?

This year I want to continue to work on being  more healthy.  I would like to READ more as well...(shocking, right?).  With the chaos of sports and busyness of my life I have gotten out of the habit...  Hoping 2010 is wonderful for all Toucan Families!
