Class Information:

Language Arts: 

We have completed our study of Mythology.  We wrote excellent myths full of gods and goddesses and invented creatures. We certainly had no problem including a dramatic conflict.  Beginning November 2, we will read Touching Spirit Bear.  This excellent novel will be our main focus during Seminar time which will last through the Thanksgiving holiday break  Most often,   homework is given on Mondays and is due the last day we are in school that week.  YOU MAY help your child with the homework tasks. 

Social Studies:

We have covered Ancient cultures from every vantage point possible. We learned about Roman and Greek government, architecture, art, music, dance, theater, etc., etc.  Next we move to the Middle Ages which will certainly be as much fun. The Black Plague and Torture Devices... what more could a 6th grader ask for?

What is my favorite Halloween Costume?

My favorite Halloween costume was when I dressed up as Raggedy Annie.  My grandmother made those type of dolls and I LOVED THEM!!  My favorite part was the red and white striped tights and the orange yarn wig!!  GOOD TIMES!!
