I will do everything in my power to help your child be successful. If your child is concerned about his/her grade in my class, he/she can see me during Homeroom for extra credit opportunities. These opportunities will not be "easy points," but will offer the student a chance to gain some extra credit while learning the North Carolina Social Studies Curriculum. Other topics that we will be covering (or have already covered) this year include Colonial America, Colonial North Carolina, North Carolina's geography, Native Americans, The French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, The United States Constitution, Civil War, The Great Depression, World War I, World War II, Civil Rights, and many more!
