Newsworthy Reports

This assignment will also count as a homework grade. Students will be given a worksheet each quarter to keep up with. The worksheet will be taken up every three weeks to be graded. Students will watch a television report or listen to radio news throughout the quarter and report on two news stories per week (at each turn in date students will have 6 reports to be graded). Students may choose which news reports to use as long as they are international or nationwide news reports (no local or sports reports). Students will record on their worksheet the date of the broadcast, the channel or call numbers, and a brief summary of the report.
