DRESSING OUTAll students must dress out everyday for Physical Education class. You MUST change out of both the shirts and shorts/pants/skirt you wore to school. You MAY NOT wear your school uniform in P.E. class. Flip-flops are not acceptable P.E. footwear and will not be allowed in P.E. All students must wear athletic shoes and socks. Boots, heels, clogs, bedroom slippers, flops, etc. are not allowed. If you choose to wear unacceptable footwear, you will not be able to participate and will lose points.
P.E. UNIFORMS/CLOTHINGü The same dress code rules apply for P.E. as do the school dress code for school uniforms. ü Shorts must be AT YOUR KNEES. Shirts must be long enough not to expose the stomach area. You do not have to tuck in your shirt. ü You may alter your uniform in anyways (ex. Cutting off sleeves, rolling up shorts, etc.)
JEWELRY AND VALUABLESü Jewelry of any kind is not permitted during P.E. class. Wearing jewelry will result in points deducted from your grade. This includes earrings, watches, rings, bracelets, etc. ü If you have something of value, dont bring it to P.E. class. This includes large amounts of money, Gameboys, CD Players or MP3 players. When we leave the locker room, the teacher will lock the door when the last person leaves. However, dont take a chance of getting something stolen, thats valuable to you. LEAVE IT AT HOME!
LOCKER ROOM PROCEDURES AND EXPECTATIONS ü Be respectful of each other and each others property. In other words, if its not yours, leave it alone. Dont touch something that doesnt belong to you and keep up with your belongings. ü No gum, candy, food or drinks in the locker room. ü Change clothes quickly, sit down and wait for directions QUIETLY. ü Do not enter the coaches offices without permission. ü No horseplay (i.e. pushing, yelling, running). Offensive language will not be permitted. ü Remain at the benches UNTIL the bell rings or you are dismissed into the gym by your teacher. ü Do not block or stand in the doorway or leave the locker room without permission from a teacher. ü No spray deodorants (aerosol cans) are allowed. Please bring roll-on or stick deodorant. No glass bottles or containers allowed (i.e. perfume, cologne). No spraying body sprays in the locker room. Some students are allergic to certain sprays.
ü Doctors note ONLY excuse your from participation. You are still expected to dress out to the fullest extent possible, when you have a doctors note. ü Excuse from participation with a parents note will be at the discretion of the teacher. (You are only allowed a maximum of 3 excuse notes, per nine weeks). ü Gym lockers will not be issued to students. You MAY NOT leave your clothes/shoes in the locker rooms, or in the lost and found. The lost and found box will be emptied on Fridays and taken to Goodwill for donation. Dont leave your clothes in the box. Be responsible for your gym clothes and shoes. It would be a good idea to get a small gym bag to carry your clothes to and from class. If you leave them in the locker room during the school day, you put them in jeopardy of being stolen or misplaced. So keep up with your stuff --- Lets have a great year!
