Erwin’'s ENRICHMENT Lab

Students in ENRICHMENTreceive extra help in reading or math skills primarily through the use of a Compass Learning computer program. They work on their own level at their own pace. Specific skills are targeted to coordinate with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and, therefore, the EOG. Thinking processes are modeled to enable students to develop their own problem solving skills.

Students are assigned to ENRICHMENT for one quarter. They are selected based on their previous year’s EOG scores. Since each class has no more than 15 students, one-on-one help is available. ENRICHMENT has proven to be an effective means of improving math and reading skills.

Welcome to Erwin, home of the Eagles!

September 30 will be my last day at Erwin. I am retiring after 30 years in the classroom. It's been a great experience, but it's time to enjoy my grandchildren. All the best to everyone. Cathy Lowman
