Erwin Middle School Chorus
Hi! Welcome to your Erwin Chorus note page. Thanks for visiting! Here you can find information regarding upcoming concerts and choral events. We are committed to a high quality choral program for all grades. 6th Grade Chorus Sixth grade chorus students are beginning a study of vocabulary and rhythm notation as well as learning about participating in a performing vocal group. We plan to present a concert at the end of the quarter. Hope you will join us! 7th Grade Chorus Seventh grade chorus students are working on vocabulary, reading rhythms, locating parts in choral scores and developing good singing techniques. Students who are interested in being in Honors Chorus next year are asked to tell Mrs. Cook to put their name on the interest list. 8th Advanced Chorus (5th) Nine week students are reviewing vocabulary, enhancing rhythm knowledge and skills and preparing a challenging performance for the end of the quarter. Stay tuned! 8th Honors Chorus (6th) Honors Chorus students are concentrating on rhythm and vocal skills as they begin the Madrigal Dinner performance pieces. The Madrigal Dinner will be presented at East Rowan on Dec.5. Information regarding times, tickets and costumes will be sent home as it is available.
