6th Grade   We are beginning a new quarter with vocabulary and learning to read rhythm notation. We are also singing and looking at new songs.

7th Grade  We are starting a new quarter and are working with vocabulary and rhythm charts. 

Advanced 8th Grade  We have begun the quarter with vocabulary review and advanced rhythmic work. We are singing several songs in 2- and 3-parts and experimenting with singing in Latin.

Honors 8th Grade  Thank you to all parents who signed up to help with the Madrigal Dinner. A parents' meeting with be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 in the East Rowan High School Chorus Room. We will be planning the menu and determining who will purchase what (with reimbursement, of course). We will also decide when tickets will be sold.

Costume Rental at Catawba: Call to make an appointment at 704-637-4241 beginning Oct. 19. Appointments won't be made until then.

Rental days are Nov. 9, 11, 14, 16 and 18 from 3:00 until 5:00. If you need a different time, call Erin at the number above. You will need to pay deposit ($15) and rental ($25) when you pick up the costume. Students, you must go try on costumes to be sure they fit. If you bring the costume to school on Monday, Dec. 5, I will return it to Catawba for you.
