SCIENCE

   Please feel free to check out my school note page.  I try to keep it updated weekly. If there are any questions you can reach me by phone, 704 -279-7265(voicemail #322) or by email at bsloop@rss.k12.nc.us.  My planning time is 8:44-10:28. I look forward to seeing or hearing from you.  

     This year in Science, we have four major objectives to cover. They are

     HEREDITY and    GENETICS

     HUMAN BODY SYSTEMS

     MOTION and FORCES

     EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE

     We   worked on  the Science Skills and reviewed the steps of the Scientific Method.  We have studied  Chapters 1 and 2.                

 As you can see, we have   covered a lot in such a short time. As of October 1st, I am sad to say that I will no longer be your child's Science teacher. After 30+ years of doing the thing I have wanted to do since I was in the 7th grade, I am retiring.  It has been a pleasure working with your child.  I hope that they continue to work hard and have the best year ever.  So don't touch that dial and keep it tuned to whoever comes in to take my place.                                                                                                       ****************

MONDAY - Student Holiday and Teacher Workday 

TUESDAY- Massing and weighing activity 

WEDNESDAY- Temperature video and discussion of the 3 temperature scales.

THURDSAY- FRIDAY-

Please  check your child's  assignment book periodically to make sure that they are keeping up with their work. I'm sure if we all three work together, we can make this the best year ever.
