All-State Chorus and National Chorus Auditions will need extra preparation from interested singers in the 7th and 8th grade.  (I will consider advanced 6th graders for All-State - see me if you were in All-County or All-State Chorus last year!)  We will have to chooose an audition song and the right keys in which to sing the scale and "My Country Tis of Thee".

The National Jr. High/Middle School Choir will be held in Oklahoma City on March 4-7.  Auditions are must be postmarked by Oct. 1.  You will need parental or guardian support for this event!  It's worth it!! 

All-State Chorus auditions will be due in the middle of November.  The format is the same.  All-State will be held at the end of April in Massaponax, VA (below Fredericksburg!). 

8th Grade Chorus members are invited to audition for All-County Chorus.  There will be a choice of one time during a week of auditioning.  It will only take 5 minutes.  The event will be held on Oct. 24 and 25 in PWC.  This audition will have a small sight reading example, a song example from class, "My Country T'is of Thee" and some of the score will depend on your in-class work!


Look for the Chorus Manuals with a Signature Page to be returned to the next class meeting.  It's your first grade in chorus...Let it be an A!
