Graduation Announcements ordered from Herff-Jones will be delivered April 27th during ALL lunches. If you owe a balance you must pay at that time.
Mandatory meeting for Seniors (students) on APRIL 28th @ 8:00 a.m.
Parent Meeting for Senior Information will be MAY 5th @ 6:30 p.m.
T-Shirt sales will end APRIL 21st - cost is $20 (unless you purchased the Senior Package #1 for $355 or $185 or Senior Package #2)
All Senior Package sales have ended. If you did not purchase a package or did not purchase a complete package - you can still pay for items individually (as they come up). Please be aware of deadlines!!
Information Presented at the Senior Meeting on THURSDAY Feb. 10, 2011
- The deadline for the 2nd Senior Package was extended through TUESDAY FEB. 15th.
- Seniors checked the spelling of their name for their DIPLOMA. Any student who did not check their name has until THURSDAY Feb. 17th to do so. The list is located outside of Mrs. Morrison's office (room 105 G).
- All Seniors in attendance signed the DISTRICT REQUIRED form acknowledging that if they commit a Class III or IV violation they will not participate in graduation / senior activities until their consequences have been served. Any student NOT in attendance must see Mrs. Morrison in 105 G to sign this form.
- There will be another mandatory Senior meeting in April (exact date TBA). At this time all dates pertaining to graduation will be finalized and students will receive all necessary information.
Here is what we know currently...
- Graduation: June 9, 2011 @ 1:00 pm at the Arena
- MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal the morning of June 9th - all students MUST report to the school (the time is TBA)
- Cap & Gown / Grad. Ticket / Honor Cord Distribution: June 3, 2011 @ 8:00 a.m.
- Any student who did not purchase Senior Package #1 or #2 will pay for their cap and gown AT THIS TIME. The cost is $65.00 - payable directly to Herff-Jones (cash or money order only).
- Any student with an "Academic Hold" or who still appears on the debt list WILL NOT receive a cap & gown, graduation tickets or cords until the issue has been resolved.
- All students automatically receive 10 tickets. Seniors have been & will be given opportunities to earn more tickets. AFTER those tickets are distributed, Seniors will be able to sign up for more tickets. We will do our best to meet the needs of all students.
- At the April Senior Meeting - students will receive a permission slip (DUE DATE IS MAY 12th) that must be signed by the parent that allows for the following:
- Attendance / Participation in any Senior Week Activity (students must provide their own transportation).
- Miss the last few days of school (we are still waiting on the official last day for Seniors from the district).
- Allows for the transportation of Seniors to and from the mandatory Graduation Rehearsal (it is also mandatory that ALL students ride the school bus to and from the rehearsal).
Dress Code (for Graduation Ceremony and Baccalaureate)
- All students must wear their cap and gown. The cap must fit flat on the top of the head. NO DECORATING OF CAPS.
- Men: white collared shirt, dark tie, dark slacks, dark socks and dark shoes (dark is considered navy blue, black, or brown).
- Women: normal length dress of any color - or dark pants and a blouse, and black shoes (with a strap or closed back).
- ABSOLUTELY NO DENIM OR KHAKI PANTS, FLIP FLOPS OR TENNIS SHOES.
If you want to purchase Graduation Announcements through Herff Jones you can pick up an order form from Miss Padgett or Mrs. Morrison HOWEVER YOU WILL NEED TO PLACE THE ORDER VIA THE INTERNET OR THROUGH THE MAIL.

•When will the package items come in?
• Senior hoodies have arrived. An ID and signature is required to pick up the Senior hoodie. Hoodies will be available in room 228 before and after school – except EC students…you will be required to get your hoodie from Mrs. Ferrell (ID and signature still required).
If you were not on the list of Seniors I received in October…you are not on this hoodie roster…

•Yes – it will go on sale after the 2nd Semester begins…once the District promotes the baby Seniors (aka 4th year Juniors) to Senior status.
How much will it be and what will come with it? The cost is not fixed yet.

What fun things are coming up?
•Thursday December 16th – Adventure Landing - Blanding Blvd. Adventure Landing from 5-8 pm. Purchase a $15.00 ticket (from Padgett) for unlimited LaserTag, Putt-Putt & Go-Karts. Tickets must be purchased by TUESDAY 12/14.

•When we come back from Winter Break, it is time to start thinking about the Senior CD (what is played @ Graduation). Messages?? Photos?? – school appropriate of course.

- Senior Hoodies have ARRIVED!!!! On-campus Seniors may begin picking them up Tuesday before school in room 228 (ID and SIGNATURE required).
- Early-College Seniors will pick them up in the Early College Office starting Tuesday after 12 p.m.
- The Herff-Jones rep was here on THURSDAY to talk about ordering Graduation Announcments
- If you did not get a catalogue check with your Senior English teacher, the Main Office,the Early College Office, Mrs. Morrison or Miss Padgett.
- Senior Class "Fun"draiser: Purchase discount tickets to Adventure Landing (Blanding Blvd) for $15.00.

- tickets MUST BE purchased in advance through MISS PADGETT in room 228!!
