ACCOUNTING I

Welcome to Accounting I. We will be using the Century 21 Accounting Textbook, Eighth Edition. The students will purchase an accounting workbook which contains all of the Working Papers needed to complete the chapter assignments. The students will also purchase an accounting simulation to be used in the spring semester to reinforce the accounting cycle. The total cost of these supplements is $35.75. The checks may be made payable to MCHS. The students will also need the following supplies to be brought to class every day.

1 1/2 inch binder with looseleaf paper

Mechanical pencils to be used for problems

No PENS may be used on working papers (points will be deducted)

A calculator must be brought to class every day.

Homework is very important in the learning of Accounting. For this reason, homework will be graded and will count 20% of the student's grades. Classwork will count 30% and Chapter tests will count 50%.

Homework:

  1. Chapter 14 terms and AYU's due 4/21 and 4/22
  2. Chapter 14 Study Guide, workbook pages 365-368, due 4/23 and 4/24
  3. Chapter 15 terms and AYU's due April 27 and 28
  4. Chapter 15 Study Guide, workbook pages 393-396 due April 29 and 30.
