Welcome to Mrs. Ausmann's Science Page

Our classes are rolling right along.   It is hard to believe that October and Fall are here already.

We have already finished the first chapters on the skeletal systems, muscular systems, and the skin, and nutrition and the digestive system.  We have also finished the chapter on the Respiratory System and Excretion.  We will still review and assess that chapter.  We have our first computer lab day for the science fair on Monday, October 19 in order to research project ideas.  Proposals are due in a few weeks.  We will also fill out a practice proposal form.

We recently had our Gecko picnic/eat lunch with your child day.  Thank you for all families that participated!  We still had a great time even though it was indoors because of the weather.

Don't forget that the Christmas Carol play permission slips and $ are due by November 20.

Remember that we send updated grades home with the students every two weeks in the organizers.  Keep up with homework by calling the hotline daily.  The phone number and Gecko code is in the organizer.  Use these to stay on your child!

Keep using the weblinks below.  The textbook site is included.  See your syllabus for username and password for accessing the online textbook.  Some other sites are fun and gross, while others are great sources of scientific information.  (Remember, it is better to use models of dissection than to kill the poor, sweet, defenseless creatures of our world;  plus, models of dissection don't stink or get your hands dirty!)

     See you in class!
