Unit 2 I'm so sorry I have been absent for awhile. I guess I was on a school notes "break". I will continue to stay caught up, just bare with me please. Parents-Please encourage your kids to attend the FREE tutoring EVERY Thursday from 3:30-4:30!!!!! TRADITIONAL October 27-31 Monday-Today we finshed up our Mini Project's in class. If they did not finsh them in class they took them home to do for HW tonight and they MUST be turned in first thing tomorrow. We started Addition and Subtraction of square roots today. We took notes and did practice problems on the overhead. HW-Block 1-Study notes and finish project, Block 2- PGCRCT Book pg. 59; 1-24; EVENS ONLY!! Eveyone needs to study their notes!!!! October 20-24 Monday- Today we started square roots in class. Wwe took a lot of notes on new content and did several practice problems. HW for tonight. Assignment #10 CRCT Workout Wb pg. 15; 1-26 ALL. They copied these problems in class today. I gave back our quiz from Friday. If they scored below an 80 they MUST make corrections and if they scored below a 70 they MUST have their parent sign it and bring it back tomorrow. They need to study their notes from today tonight and continue to do practice problems. Tuesday- Today we continued on with square roots. We took more notes nad really concentrated on plotting square roots in a number line. The students started a 4-square activity today that we will work on everyday until Friday and then turn in. This will be worth 100 points(each square worth 25 pts.) They need to continue to study there square root notes and do practice problems. No HW tonight!!! Wednesday- Today we continued to learn about square roots. We took new notes on finding the square root of a non-perfect square and how to simplify square roots. They took plenty of good notes an did practice problems on this. We got to work on the 2nd square in our 4-square project and I have included the question below. Homework-Block 1-No HW, Block 2- Assignment #13-CRCT Workout WB pg. 23; ALL(THEY SHOULD HAVE COPIED THESE BEFORE THEY LEFT MY CLASS TODAY) Thursday- Today we did a good review for our quiz tomorrow. We will be taking a quiz over all the notes and work we have done this week. We also started our first Mini-Project of the nine weeks in 2nd block and will be starting in 1st block tomorrow. They will have a sub and will be playing a Probability ame called "A Fair Hopper". Tuesday-Today we will begin a Mini Project in math. It is a station project that we will do for 2 days in class. This will count for 20% of their grade. Assignment # 48 There is no homework tonight other than study. Wednesday-We will be finishing up our Mini Projects in class today. This should take the entire period. No written HW tonight, they just need to study. Thursday-Today we did a Unit 1 review sheet. Wwe did all the EVEN numbers together as a whole class and hey are responsible for the odd numbers for HW. They need to study for their unit 1 test tomorrow. We are dealing with experimental and theoretical probability this week. We will have a probility quiz on Friday. They then worked on a EP and TP worksheet. If hey did not fnish they are to finish for HW tonight. Assignment #39. We also had a HW check today over the HW from last night. Assignment #40. Thursday- Today we did a test review and really went over TP and EP. We will have a test tomorrow. They were able to do an activity shee today with their partners to help with EP and TP. aSSIGNMENT # 41.
