Hello Blue House students, parents, and guardians,

Hope everyone is doing well as we move into 2010.  Please note that the quarter ends on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 and report cards will be distributed on Friday, Feb. 5th.

The afterschool program begins again on Monday, Jan. 11th.  Students can receive extra help with homework after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  Late buses leave Cloonan at 4 p.m. for students staying for afterschool activities.   Please see me for an application and a description of all courses that are offered.

Just a reminder that we have a Peer Mediation Program available for any student who might have a conflict with another student.  Please contact me if a peer mediation is needed to work out a problem with another student.

8th Grade Students interested in attending AITE next year are encouraged to attend the open house events at AITE on Sat., Jan. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or on Thursday, Jan. 21 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.  No RSVP is required.  Please contact me if you would like an application for admission or school visitation "Shadow" days, or if you would like to know the assessment dates.  The deadline to apply to AITE is Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010.  For further application information, please see"Admissions" at http://aitestamford.org or contact the Administrative Office at 977-4336.

8th Grade Students interested in attending the Center for Global Studies in 9th grade can see me for applications. This program is housed at Brien McMahon H.S. and offers intensive studies in Russian, Arabic, and Japanese.  The application deadline is February 1, 2010.
