Dear 4th Grade Parents,

     Worksheets #28 on What Kinds of Land Ecosystems Are There? and #29 What Types of Roles Do Organisms Play? are due in tomorrow (Friday.)

     The Eye, Magnifying Glass, and Microscope project has come to a close.  The classes seemed so excited with the use of the microscopes.  It was a real pleasure to watch their faces!

Dear 5th Grade Parents,

     Our Transpiration experiment on the windows of 5-20 and 5-21 did not seem to work as well as last year.  It could have been the rainy weather that we had the last few days.   Who knows for sure?!?!  The students followed the directions perfectly.  But, that's an experiment for you.

     Hay infusions have just started to come into the room.  The smell is delightful.

     Two worksheets have been assigned.  One is on Plant Structure and Functions and the other is on the Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Exchange.  They are due in tomorrow (Friday.)

Language Arts 5-21 Unit Review page 68 has been assigned.  The Personal Narratives are being finalized.  We will start reading them orally as early as tomorrow.  We will be listening and analyzing them on voice, presentation, organization and sentence fluency.  They should practice reading them over and over again, before coming up in front of the class.

Spelling 5-21 The spelling test on plural nouns and the vocabulary from Forests of the World will be tomorrow.

Reading 5-21 The vocabulary test for Forests of the World will be tomorrow.
