Parents,

   Hello! It is hard to believe, but we already  half way through October. My how time flies. I would like to inform everyone that as of Thursday, October 13, 2011, we now have a new member of our classroom team. Please help me to welcome Mrs. Rabon to our classroom. Mrs. Rabon comes to us from West Rowan Middle School with many years of experience. Take a minute to introduce yourself to her when you have a chance.

     We have spent the last several weeks working with our phonics program Fundations and using the correct letters and letter sounds. We have also spent a lot of time working on correct letter formation. So far, we have studied the following letters: t, b, f, m, n, c, a, g, o, i, r, s, d, e and u.  In math, we have been working on number identification as well as connecting sets with the correct numeral with one to one correspondence. We have also been working on correct numeral formation. In science, we have been working on animals telling how animals are alike and different. In social studies, we have discussed ourselves and our families and how they are alike and different.

     We are still having some issues with following classroom rules and procedures, as well as school rules. Please discuss the importance of this with your child.
