Also, Please feel free to call or email me with any concerns! * Please note: Newspaper article summarizing what occured and the 6 points of view as well as their reasoning must be turned in by Tuesday June 2nd! Late papers will not be accepted after this point! Speak your mind final assessment activity- newspaper article. (S's will summarize the 6 points of view given and the outcomes of the mock hearing- Expository essay). These must be edited for spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, etc. You should be familiar with how to write an expository essay (just the facts mam) from Ms Hill's class. *This activity still must be completed if you were absent Friday!!! *If absent during the mock hearing please write an editorial (persuasive essay) discussing your views on wolf relocation, which plan (from handout) would be the best and why...remember to support your point of view with at least 2-3 supporting details per statement made (powergraph format is fine). Also discuss why the other plans would not be the best choice. Offer a compromise if possible, and make up your own plan if you wish. Editorials/persuasive essays should be 1-2 pages and edited for spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. Week of June 1st: Revisit Classification in more depth Monday June 1st: 1.) Continue "Classifying Shapes" Lab started in class Friday 2.) Read Ch 7.2 3.) Complete "Dichotomous Key-shapes" practice sheet (as time permits-will have time tomorrow as well) Refer to p.216-218 as needed 4.) Complete "Ch 7.2 Challenge and Extension" on binomial nomenclature. Tuesday June 2nd: Binomial nomenclature and Dichotomous keys Textbooks Due for periods 2, and 4-7 1. Finish classwork from Monday (read ch 7.2, Dichotomous key practice sheet, and 7.2 Challenge and extension) -turned in at end of class 2. Wed June 3rd: PBS Celebration Skating Party -no class meetings Thursday June 4th: Shape Island Lab HW: finish as homework if needed (no textbook required) Friday June 5th: Heredity Heredity class activity/virtual lab Homework: Get out all study guides and make sure they are in a science folder. Final exam is open book and notebook!
