All students are strongly encouraged to bring their own calculator to class!
A simple multifunction calculator will satisfy most of the requirements in the course, however, a scientific calculator which also includes trig functions (sin, cos, and tan) would satisfy practically all course requirements. Scientific calculators can be obtained for as little as $5 as discount stores (Fred's, Big Lots, etc...). Popular name brands(TI and Casio) are routinely available in the $8-15 range. Benefits of bringing one's own calculator include familiarity with functionality and a guarantee that you will use the same brand/style of calculator in class each day. |
