We are now working on our fitness unit. Some of the skills we are studying include walking, running, jumping rope, and individual fitness skills (sit-ups, push-ups, stretching, bowling, etc.), as well as the importance of being active and physically fit for a lifetime. We encourage the students to practice the skills learned at school while they are at home. Field Day is coming up soon!! Field Day for Grades 3-5 will be May 28. Field Day for grades K-2 will be June 2. The games will begin at 9:00 a.m on these days. Just a friendly reminder: In order to ensure that all students participate safely in the physical education classes, we ask that each student: 1) wear tennis shoes to class on the days they have P.E., not dress shoes or flip-flops. 2) wear appropriate clothing. 3) be ready to listen, learn, move, and have fun.
