Welcome to Mrs. Schaffer's Page

I am enjoying getting to know your child. I hope that this site will provide an additional and helpful communication between us.  I hope you'll check it weekly to see what your child will be doing in class.  In addition, always feel free to contact me at school (487-1243). I would be glad to meet with you before school to answer any questions or concerns that you may have.  I am usually at school by 7 A.M. each morning.  Again, I truly enjoying teaching your children. Please do not hesitate to let me know if I can answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Please encourage your child to read at least fifteen minutes every day.  This helps them to become better readers by acquiring sight word recognition and fluency.

Things to remember:

1.  Mondays- newsletter sent home

2.  Wednesdays- Progress reports are sent home.  Please review your child's work, sign, and return the top sheet only.

3.  ** VERY IMPORTANT---Please remember to send a note if your child will be going home a different way.

4.  Please send a note if your child will be leaving early.  This will enable me to have your child ready to leave at that time.
