THIS WEEK IN CLASS: 

In Language Arts, we will work with the story The Kite. We will be working on comprehension and predicting, setting, plot and comparing and contrasting, cause and effect. We will also work on the vowel sound long i, using the CVCe and  ie/igh patterns . This week in math we will continue working with place value.  Remember to continue practicing addition and subtraction with your child. PLEASE PRACTICE with your child. In Social Studies we will begin a Unit Black History Month.  We will study Rosa Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, George Washington Carver, Ruby Bridges and Mae C Jemison.
