This week's schedule:

Reading:   Comprehension strategy:  Monitor/Clarify

Spelling:  Differentiated spelling lists

Math:  The students are ready to take their geometry test on Tuesday.  We will be working on Topic 9 - Patterns, and Topic 7 - Division this week.

Social Studies:  We are continuing our lessons on government.

.

Workstations:  We will have workstations Tuesday - Thursday this week. They consist of math, and reading, and social studies.   Mrs. Swicegood and I will be guiding one station each.  The others will be group or independent work.


Homework:

Monday

Reading:  log/vocabulary

Spelling:   Write spelling sentences

Math:       Study for test on Topic 10
               KSS - due Thursday

Tuesday

Reading: log/vocabulary

Math: Study multiplication facts; KSS due Thursday



Wednesday

Reading: log/vocabulary

Math:  Lesson 9-2; KSS due tomorrow; study multiplication facts!


Thursday

Reading:  log/vocabulary

Spelling and vocabulary test tomorrow

Math:  Lesson 9-3; study multiplication facts!


Friday

Reading:  log/vocabulary

Math:  Study multiplication facts

**Please note that every student is required to read each night Monday through Thursday.   In order to become better readers, it is essential each student reads daily.**  They can read a book for 30 minutes, or read for 15 minutes, and study the vocabulary words for the other 15 minutes.  



A friendly reminder:  Please look at your child's agenda each night to check for messages from Mrs. Swicegood or myself and to see that all homework is completed. Please sign the agenda as well as the reading log.



The second quarter is going well!  I enjoyed establishing a partnership with all parents!  I am continuing my weekly email with more detailed lessons and updated information on our class.  You can find my contact number in the emails.  Please don't hesitate to call if anything arises.  I look forward to having a successful year with your help!  Thank you for all you do to support your child's education!



Our lunch time is 11:40 - 12:05.  We look forward to having you join us for lunch!
