Wild About Learning!!!!!

Wow! Time is flying by. It is already the end of the second quarter! It is exciting to see your child growing not only academically but maturing as well. Middle school is just around the corner and it is our goal to have your child ready.
Please continue to speak with your child daily about what is going on at school. We have a busy time ahead of us! School wide homework will continue. The keeping skills sharp will be given out each Monday and it is due each Thursday. Please take the time to sit down and work out the problems together. It takes all of us doing our part to complete your child's education.

Just a few things to remember.  Weekly folders will continue to come home on Wednesdays. Please take a minute to look over their work to see how your child is progressing. If you have questions, please send a note and I will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

Please remind your child to do his or her homework. I am having a major problem with this. In Wednesday's folder , if you see tickets, you will know that your child is having issues with homework. Please encourage them to always do their best.

Ask your child if they need paper or pencils.  I am having to give out pencils and paper daily because many students have run out. If you can, please replenish their supplies.

The  switching of classes for Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science is going well. Please ask your child how things are going. We are trying to prepare them for middle school. Most students use their agenda to write down their assignments, but there are a few who do not use this valuable tool. Please encourage your child to use their agenda. Middle schoolers use them too.

If you have questions or concerns you can reach me at school and leave me a voice mail. I will call you as soon as possible. The best way to reach me is through email. My address is:  phifergc@rss.k12.nc.us

Together we can make this the best year yet. It takes everyone doing their part to make it all work!!!
