Reading - During this very short school week, we will complete the delightful novel, Mr. Popper's Penguins. We have really enjoyed reading about Mr. Popper, Captain Cook, Greta, and the other 10 penguins.  Have your child share some of his/her favorite parts of the book.  We will culminate this study on Monday with an interesting recipe.  Also, we will use the reading skill of compare and contrast.

       Just a few brief notes for this week that you might want to be aware of.  On Monday, we will have our multiplication "sundae" reward for those students who have met their multiplication criteria.  Tuesday morning will bring the Theme 2 skills test for our reading classes.  Following that, we will have our homework/character reward.  Please remember that on Tuesday, students will be dismissed at 12:00.  I want to wish each and every one of you a family-filled Thanksgiving where you can enjoy much time with your children and loved ones.  See you on November 30th, bright and early!
