Meet the Teacher

My Education

I graduated from North Iredell High School with honors.
I earned an Associate's Degree in Music at Mitchell Community College with honors.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from UNCC in Education.
I also earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb University.
I am a National Board Certified Teacher.
I have over 25 years of experience teaching music to students ranging in age from 5 to 65.
This is my 14th year teaching elementary school.
I enjoy teaching and helping my students become successful, lifelong learners.

My Family

My husband, Mike, and I have been married over 28years.
We have three beautiful & talented daughters.
Our oldest, Stephanie, is married to Justin and is an English Teacher at North Lincoln High School.
Kim, our second child, is a college student and
Jenny, our youngest, is also a college student.
We also have a precious grandson named Luke,Stephanie & Justin's first child.

My parents immigrated from Switzerland and Italy so I grew up speaking French & Italian.
Since my mother was a concert pianist, our house was filled with beautiful music.
I also have a brother and sister who have musical talents.

I am very proud of my family.

My Favorites

My favorite things to do are play the piano, listen to music,
learn foreign languages, travel, surf the internet,
ride horses, walk, bake, spend time with my family,
watch the weather channel, science activities,
and teach.
