Academic Support:   there will be no homework tonight except for those students who did not complete the name plates begun in class today.   We will share them with each other on Wednesday.   Also for class on Wednesday you need to bring your novel that you are reading as we will spend the last ten minutes of class doing SSR.

Academic Enrichment:  I am looking forward to meeting you tomorrow.  Please bring your copy of Bronx Masquerade with you to class along with the book you are reading for reading with the stars.  We will spend the last ten minutes in class working on SSR.

This is just a reminder that the AE class needs to bring the book Bronx Masquerade to class on Monday.  We will be working with that book for the next couple of weeks.   I will provide you with a notebook.

For Academic Support Classes:  We will be working on writing and beginning a novel on Tuesday.   Remember where you sit in class.  (the new seat you were given on Friday). I hope you have a great weekend and if you play football, good luck.   Go Cloonan Bulldogs!!!

For AE, Work due on Thursday 10-29-09.   You are to read up to page 43 in Tomorrow When the War Began.  Be prepared to discuss characters, setting, details, conflicts.  We will be adding to our character lists that we created in class on Friday.   On Tuesday, 10/27/09 we will be going down to the computer lab to complete Task 2 of 3 of our Harlem Renaissance project.   We will meet on Tuesday in the computer lab.

For AS, we will be completing the work on Killer Snakes that you began with the substitute teacher on Thursday.  Some of you did not get as far as others, so we will take some time to get caught up on Monday.  This will be a graded assignment.    We will be using the Holes book as well.  New seats will be assigned that day in class.
